A TRIBUTE TO PORTUGAL WITH HAND EMBROIDERED COSTUMES AT THE OPENING CEREMONY At the event that officially marked the start of the Olympic Games, on the River Seine, standard bearers Fernando Pimenta and Ana Cabecinha carried with them, through their uniforms, the hearts of all Portuguese people beating for Team Portugal. Two impactful sets, which embrace tradition and modernity and made our athletes shine before the world! Decenio designed them exclusively for this day and had the collaboration of the Cooperativa Aliança Artesanal de Vila Verde, which hand-embroidered, over the course of two months, the looks consisting of a dress, blazer and panama for the marcher and a blazer, shorts and panama for the canoeist.

PORTUGAL TEAM RECEIVED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC On July 8, the Portuguese delegation was received by the President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, in the gardens of the Belém Palace. LOVE MESSAGE More than dressing the athletes, Decenio wanted to send a message of love to the entire world, at a time of so many wars and conflicts. To this end, inspired by the typical motifs of Portuguese crafts, she designed the pattern that can be found on some of the pieces and which has become the hallmark of Team Portugal's costumes.

PRESENTATION OLYMPIC COSTUMES The arrivals area at Lisbon Airport served as the stage for the presentation parade on May 7th, where athletes Angélica André (Swimming), Susana Godinho Santos (Athletics), Tiago Pereira (Triple Jump), Filipa Martins ( Gymnastics), Miguel Frazão (Fencing), Eduardo Marques (Sailing), Evelise Veiga (Long Jump), Rui Pinto (Athletics), Bárbara Timo (Judo), Pedro Buaró (Pole Vault), Patrícia Sampaio (Judo) and Eliana Flag (Weight Put).
